Security Warning: Unregistered or Abandoned Vehicles

 

This is an Important message for owners who have parked their vehicle on the public roads within the resort and not moved it for a considerable time.
 
Vehicles left on the public roads which includes the parking spaces provided must be maintained in a legal status at all times, they are required to be registered, taxed ITV/MOT and have a valid insurance.
 
Vehicles owned by a foreign non resident have a maximum period of 6 months before it is required to be registered in Spain. The time changes to 30 days for owners who have secured residential status or a Spanish National..

There are certain vehicles parked on the resort roads which have not been moved for an extensive period of time. Whenever possible, the owners of such vehicles will be contacted by the Community Administrator. However, owners are responsible for their vehicles and must make any necessary arrangements to keep them legal or remove them from the public road.
 
Be advised, if ownership cannot be verified the police will be informed and if they choose to enforce the law, non legal vehicles will be removed from the road. Owners returning to find their vehicles removed will need to contact the Police Authorities.
