Fire Prevention Tips
RECOMMENDATIONS
- When leaving your property ensure any unnecessary electrical equipment is turned off
- Discard smoking materials safely, avoid disposing them into a combustible container
- When using lighted candles do not leave them unattended
- Install a smoke alarm preferably with the system provided by Vigilant our security provider. This forms part of their domestic alarm system which protects your property from intruders. It also enables you to summon assistance easily at a touch of a button. (Details available on the Community Web site)
- If you need to summon the emergency services your first call should be to 112, (The National Emergency Number) after which you should phone Security using (0034) 622 661 999. A free fridge Magnet is available from the Community office which confirms these actions, please collect one and display it within your property.
- Extinguishers are available on each floor of the apartments; however it is a good idea for owners of apartments and villas to provide their own first aid firefighting equipment such as a 5KG general purpose extinguisher and a fire blanket and locate them near an exit door.
- Keep matches and lighters away from young children
- Use barbecues safely, always check to ensure there is no leakage of butane or propane gas when being used or stored.
